Write a Proposal
Start with a Clear Introduction
Introduce Yourself:
Provide your name, grade, and a brief background on your interest in starting the club.
State the Purpose:
Clearly explain the need for this club and how it benefits the school community.
Mention any relevant experience or passion that drives your initiative.
Outline Your Objectives
Mission Statement:
Articulate the mission of your club in a concise and impactful way.
Key Goals:
List the primary objectives, such as increasing STEM participation among girls, organizing workshops, or promoting awareness of gender equity in STEM fields.
Measurable Outcomes:
How will you measure success? For example, increased participation in STEM courses or positive feedback from events. (It’s a good idea to conduct a survey at the beginning and do another one after several activities to see the difference/impact you made)
Explain Your Plan
Activity Breakdown:
Detail the types of activities you plan to organize, such as guest speakers, workshops, field trips, or mentoring programs.
Logistics and Resources:
Specify what you need from the school, including meeting spaces, equipment, or funding.
Timeline:
Provide a timeline for the club’s launch, regular meetings, and major events.
Close with a Request
Ask for Support:
Politely request the school’s approval and support for your club.
Offer a Follow-Up Meeting:
Suggest a time to meet and discuss the proposal in more detail.
Thank the head of school for their time and consideration.
Attach Supporting Documents:
Include any research, survey results, or additional information that supports your proposal.
